Prior to joining TU Dublin in 2022, Dr Abraham was an Associate Professor in Mechanical and Marine Engineering at the School of Engineering, Plymouth University and an Associate Head of the School of Marine Science and Engineering at Plymouth University. While in Plymouth University he was responsible for the Mechanical & Marine Engineering subject group as well as overseeing the Civil and Coastal Engineering group.
Previous roles include a Senior Lecturer at the University of Portsmouth as well as a Researcher and part-time Tutor/Lecturer at University of Oxford, St Anne’s College, St Hilda’s College of the University of Oxford, University of Dundee, Automotive Competence Centre of the Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences, Germany, German Institute of Rubber Technology, DIK, Hannover and the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hannover, Germany.
Dr. Abraham’s research interests include sustainable engineering, renewable energy and heating systems technology as well as low energy/energy saving technologies for buildings, including building automation, Industry 4.0, innovation, design of testing facilities for products, including human implants, prostheses and materials and sustainable engineering design, automotive & tyre technology, fracture mechanics, fatigue life testing and simulation.
