Tech-Ed for Good - Computing, Digital and Data
What is Tech-Ed for Good?
Tech-Ed for Good is a series of videos created by lecturers throughout the Faculty of Computing, Digital and Data in Technological University Dublin that showcases how the work undertaken in the Faculty has a positive influence on society, the environment, our communities, and that helps to shape the positive use of digital technology.
Much of the work showcased in Tech-Ed for Good aligns with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including:
- SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being
- SDG 4: Quality Education
- SDG 5: Gender Equality
- SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities
This work was undertaken in 2023-24 with the support of TU Dublin's Vice President for Sustainability and the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.
As a Faculty we are committed to helping drive the global effort towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
By sharing information about the work in our Faculty through Tech-Ed for Good, we hope to further build partnerships among our staff and partnerships between our Faculty and others.
Academic staff, professional services staff, students, partners of TU Dublin, and people throughout society are invited to review our collection of videos, starting with the introductory video above.
What is available through the Tech-Ed for Good Video Library?
Our Video Library is populated with dozens of recordings of our staff speaking about their work and how that work aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals.
Every week, one of our Tech-Ed for Good videos will be shared on Social Media using our hashtag #tech-ed-for-good. Follow us on LinkedIn to receive notifications of these posts.
