Deep Learning
Part-time / Level 9 / Online / 10 ECTS
Deep Learning is one of the most important topics in the area of Data Analytics today. Deep Learning is based on the long standing Feed Forward Neural Network design, but significantly goes beyond that through the use of hardware acceleration and advanced network architectures. This module aims to take students with a strong interest or background in data analysis through the practical design and application of Deep Learning solutions.

Week 13: Review and assessment
This is an advanced module intended for students who already have a prior background in machine
learning. The Machine Learning module is listed as co-requisite but is ideally a pre-requisite.
The module will make significant use of self-directed learning which will take the form of watching
video lectures, reading recommended chapters and other written materials, and working on
assignments.
A weekly physical lecture hour will be used primarily to provide guidance and answer questions.
A two hour per week lab / tutorial session will be used to support learning and assignments.
