The School of Computer Science has a successful track record of interaction with industry and has in the last 3 years strengthened this record through the establishment of an Industry Engagement Office (IEO) within the School. Headed by Ita Bulate, the IEO provides support for student placements, recruitment events, and general industry engagement with the School.
As part of many of our courses, we offer students the opportunity to obtain industrial experience as part of their time with us.
While the details of these placement modules might differ slightly between programmes, the purpose remains the same, and the general guidelines as set out in the Industrial Placement Handbook apply to all placement programmes at the school.

Useful resources:
As part of the Continuous Quality Assessment procedures implemented within the School, we need academic and industry representatives to sit on Programme, School and College review boards. These boards help to ensure the relevance and quality of all undergraduate and graduate programmes taught at or taught by the School of Computer Science. We also need external examiners to participate in the ongoing Quality Control of the assessments of modules taught and examined at the School.
If you would like more information regarding industry engagement and our internship programmes in particular please contact our Industry Engagement Office:
