We hope you enjoy the Christmas break. Our Undergraduate tutors are also studying and completing exams. Hence, tutoring sessions will resume AFTER exam period.

The CLC provides free one-to-one online tutoring sessions and group sessions with an undergraduate peer who has excelled in computing modules. Whether you're struggling with programming, algorithms, databases, or any other subject, our peer tutors are here to provide tailored assistance. You can setup a session at a time that works best for you.

It is essential that you understand that tutors will not complete any aspect of your labs or assessment for you. They are there to assist you in understanding the topics required to complete your labs/assessments. You must bring your notes and assessments with you to the online sessions.

Tutors will be undergraduate, or postgraduate students, in TU Dublin.

Competitions and challenges for students who are looking to take their Computing skills to the next level will be posted here throughout the academic year.

Please contact the clc@tudublin.ie if you require advanced academic challenges.

Advice and support is available for anyone struggling with Computing. Please email clc@tudublin.ie if you need any assistance.

The Computing Learning Centre is looking for a number of Computing Tutors to work with students over the Winter semester months, from September to December 2024. These tutors will assist students who need additional assistance understanding topics, completing their labs, or preparing for their assessments.

Tutors will be current students at any year of their programme who have strong programming skills and who have performed well in their own assessments and are therefore in a good position to help other students. Tutoring other students offers valuable personal rewards. Additionally, besides enhancing your CV, this is an excellent opportunity to trial the role.

If you wish to apply for this role, please complete this form.

"It's really helping me so far, and I'm feeling much more confident in this subject. Overall, it's been a really positive experience"

"The sessions have been fantastic, I am learning how to actually think like a programmer."

"My tutor has been very helpful in my understanding of the different topics we are covering in class."

"My mentor was amazing, helped me throughout everything I asked for and he would never disappoint, every session I learned something new and therefore became a better version of myself with more confidence in the repeat exam I took."
