- 25 years as a human resources practitioner
15 years lecturing in human resources management
This combination of both practical expertise in human resource management combined with lecturing experience in a variety of HRM subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate level, allows for the imparting of practical experience to students which help them to learn by not only developing academic knowledge and skills but building understanding of how this can be applied in a practical manner.
The management of the work-placement programme for third year students in HR requires effective interaction with students, colleagues and external stakeholders and requires the development of external links and partnerships within business and industry to facilitate work placements for all students

July 2022- invited to teach a module at the ESDES first international seminar of executive level apprentices on the 6th, 7th and 8th of July 2022 (Lyon). The event was targeted at the 4th year students Master in Management
Contributors were asked to suggest a theme focusing on a specific country or region of the globe which has direct practical relevance for the business world, my topic was as follows:
TOPIC: Expatriation and Repatriation
Expatriate in Human Resource Management (HRM), commonly shortened to expat, is someone living in a country different to their own for the purposes of undertaking a short or long-term overseas work assignment. This topic provided a 3-hour workshop covering themes such as; Meaning of terminology; Key characteristics required for SUCCESS in global assignments (including a strong emphasis on Cultural Adjustment); Key characteristics for selection of employees for global assignment.
