Case Profile
TU Dublin Executive Education, Workday Certificate in Entrepreneurial Leadership
Workday is a global software company with EMEA headquarters in Dublin. Workday’s leading enterprise software is shaping the future of work, empowering businesses to manage their operations more effectively and efficiently in a digital age. For Workday’s ambitious growth plans to be achieved, senior leaders require a clarity of vision coupled with a capability to lead innovation focused teams. To engender this mindset and skillset, Workday approached the Graduate Business School with a brief to design a tailored executive education programme which would develop the leadership competencies and entrepreneurial mindsets of directors from a range of their business units.
TU Dublin faculty from both the Graduate Business School and GROWTHhub and a team from Workday embarked on a collaborative research and design process resulting in a bespoke executive education course which directly responds to Workday’s needs. Programme content focuses on some of GROWTHhub's exciting work on entrepreneurial leadership along with innovation competencies and scaling strategies, achieved through the management of high-performance teams.
The programme creates an invaluable opportunity for Workday colleagues from across business units to network, collaborate and support each other throughout the learning process. Participants value the power of applied content which results in outputs including a personal leadership action plan and a live project - a Growth Roadmap, a strategic document designed to respond to Workday’s wider organisational growth initiatives. This is presented to senior leaders in the organisation at the close of the four-month programme.
