Exploring Public Relations and Public Diplomacy practices in Ghana’s Foreign publics and Diaspora Engagement Campaigns 2010 - 2020

Isaac Antwi-Boasiako is a PhD Candidate and Assistant Lecturer (HPAL) at the School of Media. His doctoral research focuses on public relations (PR) and public diplomacy. It examines how developing states’ governments employ PR strategies to attract foreign direct investments (FDIs), tourism, foreign aid, and diaspora in their foreign communications for developmental and economic growth purposes.

Isaac holds a master’s degree in international relations from Plymouth University, UK, and another master’s degree in theology and pedagogy from Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan, Poland. He also obtained his BA degree (First Class Honours) in Philosophy and Social Sciences from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi – Ghana. He holds a postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education Teaching and Learning from the University College Cork and a certificate in Higher Education Teaching from the Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning, Harvard University. In addition to English, Isaac speaks fluent Polish and has an elementary level in Spanish and French. He is also a student member of the Public Relations Institute – Ireland (PRII). Isaac was the postgraduate Rep for the Research and Innovation Academy – TU Dublin (between Jan. 2022 – Feb. 2024).

As an academic and researcher, he has published a number of articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented academic papers at various conferences and symposia. His research interests include PR, public diplomacy, ethics, international relations, and strategic communications.
