Training Restaurants

Restaurant Overview

Here at TU Dublin we have a number of Training Restaurant Laboratories. We have two Training Restaurants, Musgrave MarketPlace Restaurant and Ballymaguire Foods Restaurant in the Central Quad building, Grangegorman, Dublin 7.   On our Tallaght Campus we have the Scholars Restaurant which is located in the Main Building on the ground floor.   All are working classrooms designed in a restaurant setting. 

Over the course of each academic year the following student groups operate the Training Restaurants under the guidance of both a Chef and Restaurant Lecturers:

Tallaght Campus:

Semester 1 & 2 - students from 1st and 2nd year BA in Culinary Arts.

Grangegorman Campus:

Semester 1 - students from 1st year BA in Hospitality Management and 2nd year Higher Certificate in Culinary Arts.

Semester 2 - students from 2nd and 3rd BA (Hons) in Culinary Arts.

Due to the nature of the training environment, our restaurant opening times run in conjunction with our class timetable. We wish to remind you that our Training Restaurant Laboratories are a classroom environment, and our primary objective is to facilitate student learning.

Please note, we run a card only payment system.

Lunch Ticket Price: €20 to €30 per person (includes a meal experience to meet the learning outcomes offered by the students on the day)

Dinner Ticket Price: €35 to €45 per person (includes a meal experience to meet the learning outcomes offered by the students on the day)
