Vocal, Opera and Drama Studies
Welcome to the Vocal, Opera and Drama department in the TU Dublin Conservatoire.
This vibrant and busy department has earned an enviable reputation as an international centre of excellence for singers, actors and theatre makers. We are continually renewing and reviewing our provision of tuition and our commitment to excellence in training students for Opera, Drama and the Concert platform. Through the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, staff maintain a high level of contact with students on a weekly basis through individual tuition, rehearsals with a designated repetiteur, language coaching, lectures, seminars, workshops, school placements, movement, dance and full scale productions.
The Conservatoire has forged strong links with international opera studios and opera/theatre companies throughout the world. All of our students directly benefit from the immediate connections our staff and past students have secured for us in the professional world of opera and theatre, most notably with Columbia College in Chicago.
Graduates include Orla Boylan, Sinéad Campbell, Paula Murrihy, Grace Collender, Aoife Gibney, Gavin Fullam, Adam Traynor, Aylish Tynan, and Jennifer Davis.
