Climate Action Roadmap
TU Dublin commits to take urgent climate action to achieve carbon neutrality across its operations, foster societal resilience through an inclusive and inspiring education model, develop open research and innovation, and enhance citizen agency at all levels for positive change.
Informed by the requirements of Public Sector Climate Action Mandate, in 2022, TU Dublin began to formalise plans for reducing total energy related emissions and fossil fuel related emissions from our operations in line with the targets in the national Climate Action Plan. The TU Dublin Sustainability Office worked in conjunction with multiple services throughout the University to establish our baseline Scope 1, 2 & 3 greenhouse gas emissions. In March 2023, TU Dublin published its first TU Dublin Climate Action Roadmap March 2023 which sets out a route towards meeting our obligations under the Public Sector Climate Action Mandate, but also more broadly our ambitions to develop responsible citizens, advance new knowledge, shape policy, and transform our campus infrastructure and operations into a living breathing beacon of sustainability. In June 2024 the University published it's third and latest iteration of the TU Dublin Climate Action Roadmap June 2024. All versions are listed below.

Sustainability Strategy
To support the targets set out in the Climate Action Roadmap, the TU Dublin Sustainability Team are finalising the first iteration of our Sustainability Strategy following an extensive process of cooperation, consultation, and collaboration with students, teaching staff, academics, professional services staff, industry, and local communities. The Sustainability Strategy will ultimately align actions, opportunities, strategy, and accountability to achieving targets set out in the Climate Action Roadmap. This ambitious strategy will engender a whole-of-University approach to engaging in delivering on our sustainability goals and to work collectively to limit global warming to ensure a safe future for our planet the next generations.
