Dr Aimee Byrne is a Sustainability Education Lead who has been working in sustainability research, lecturing and module development since 2009. She passionately supports colleagues to embed sustainability into the curriculum, empowering our students to become future sustainability leaders. Her current research interests include the circular and bio-economy, digital construction, and sustainable materials and practices for which she has received both Irish and EU funding and supervises 3 PhD students.

She has extensive experience in developing educational events, training, and support materials through her work on National and International Committees. This includes 2 EU COST Actions, Engineers Ireland, Enterprise Ireland, National Standards Authority of Ireland, and the pan-European Network for dynamic building performance ‘DYNASTEE’.
