About Us
The values of TU Dublin – Excellence, Impact and Inclusion - underpin the work of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
As a University, all aspects of EDI work will be shaped by global best practices adapted to local conditions. We learn from the most advanced research and practice; subject our work to critical reflection; and adopt and develop the approaches and practices that best serve our vision to be an exemplar in equality, diversity and inclusion.
Work in equality, diversity and inclusion is about bringing about long-term and enduring structural and cultural change. By continuously developing social justice and equity-oriented mindsets and practices across the university, TU Dublin staff and graduates will be known for the development of solutions that meaningfully progress the attainment of the sustainable development goals.
Inclusion motivates our ambition to be the most accessible university in Ireland, with a diverse student population reflective of the national population and a 20% international staff cohort. It is also about our University culture, going beyond the metric of diversity representation among our students and staff. An inclusive culture is one in which there is a good understanding of the histories and practices of exclusion, best practice initiatives in place to address these, and an environment in which we all have a sense of belonging based on respect and equity which we then carry into our work in addressing today’s global challenges.
