The Prof-ASSESS authentic assessment project is currently looking to recruit a full or part-time research assistant/senior research assistant on a fixed-term basis. Prof-ASSESS, funded under the Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) 'rethinking assessment' programme, is working with programme teams in three disciplines (Architecture, Electrical Engineering, and Optometry) alongside professional & regulatory bodies the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) Engineers Ireland & CORU (Regulating Health + Social Care Professionals) and other stakeholders, to develop programme-based approaches to building authenticity into Assessment and Feedback processes.
Full and part time options are available, and - depending on experience - applicants can come on board as a research assistant or senior research assistant (see below for requirements).

Research Assistant Duties
Working in the offices of TU Dublin's Learning, Teaching & Assessment team, your duties will include:
- Contributing to the research design
- Carrying out fieldwork in consultation with the project team
- Recording, analysing and writing up research data
- Preparing regular progress updates to the project steering group
- Contributing to the successful delivery of the project; preparation and drafting of any identified follow-on research bids and proposals
- Working with us to draft and submit of papers to appropriate peer-reviewed journals
Essential Criteria
- The ideal candidate will have familiarity with the subject matter and be able to evidence appropriate research experience, digital and data analysis skills
- Applicants for RA post must hold an Honours degree (NFQ L8) in relevant discipline; for Senior RA post a Master’s degree (NFQ L9) or equivalent in relevant discipline or Five year’s post-primary degree-relevant research experience
- Candidates should be available for immediate start
