TU Dublin Assessment Regulations are currently under development. The following sections have been approved by Academic Council for implementation in 2024/25.

The TU Dublin procedures for Exit Awards have also been approved for implementation.

Calculators
The University has adopted the State Examination Commission (SEC) listing in relation to the use of permitted Calculators (SEC List) in Examinations. A calculator not specifically listed is prohibited, unless approved in advance by your School. Contact your School with model details for queried calculators well in advance of any exams. Examinations staff or invigilators will not be in a position to make judgement on a calculator in an examination venue.
Extenuating Circumstances
Completed Extenuating Circumstances Forms (formerly Personal Circumstances forms), with accompanying Professional Opinion Form should now be downloaded here, completed and emailed to Academic Affairs using our dedicated mailbox: ecforms@tudublin.ie
Grade Point Average (GPA)
In May 2024 Academic Council approved a GPA Position Paper May 2024 for TU Dublin. It is expected that this new Grade Point Average (GPA) model will start to apply to incoming students from September 2025. Other Sections of the new General Assessment regulations have been drafted and circulated for consultation. Copies of these drafts are available by request from the qualityframework@tudublin.ie
In all other areas of assessment, the campus specific assessment regulations will continue to apply for the Academic Year 2024/25, until updated and appropriately communicated:
