What is NEIC Kickstart?
- The NEIC Kickstart Entrepreneurship Programme is a 10 week programme that offers an opportunity for young people aged between 18 -30 years to develop their business idea while also preparing themselves for a career in self-employment.
How does NEIC Kickstart work?
- The programme is designed to bring you through the stages required to develop your enterprise idea:
- how to evaluate your idea,
- understanding your value proposition and the market,
- how to sell to your market, and
- your business financing.
- Going through each stage NEIC Kickstart will provide you with the tools and templates to develop a robust and workable new venture plan.
- As well as helping you to develop your new venture plan, the programme will prepare you for a career in self-employment. You will reflect on your competences and skills as an entrepreneur and you will be provided with tools to help you deal with the personal challenges of life as an entrepreneur.
- The weekly interactive workshops will feature guest speakers (including successful entrepreneurs and experts). Each workshop will also provide ‘homework’ through a new venture planning simulation software to enable you to develop your new venture plan as you go through the programme
- In addition to the workshops you will be provided with expert advice and feedback along the way. This includes access to an experienced mentor who will provide you with crucial advice to help you turn your idea into action.
When and Where?
- The programme will be delivered over 10 workshops at Dogpatch Labs state-of-the-art start-up hub located in the Docklands.
- Workshops will take place weekly on Friday mornings from 10.00am to 12.30pm, with the first workshop kicking off on 02 February 2024.
How to Apply?
- This is the easy bit! To apply we need your personal information as well as some basic information on your enterprise idea to help us assess your suitability for the programme. This information can be submitted here.
- After you submit your application you will be contacted by a member of the NEIC Kickstart team.
- The closing date for applications is 26 January 2024.
TU Dublin Award?
- While the key objective of the programme is to help you prepare for a career in entrepreneurship, if you successfully complete the programme requirements you will also graduate from NEIC Kickstart with a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from TU Dublin.
