Design thinking can greatly benefit everyone. Design Thinking is a proven framework, process, and mindset for delivering solutions against some of the world’s toughest challenges.

Design Thinking Foundations Digital Badge is free, open to all staff and fully online.
This course is designed for those who wish to build their understanding and practical application of the innovative and design decisions that are led by empathising the needs and wants of individuals. You will learn about the principles of design thinking so you implement it in your teaching.
After you complete the Digital Badge requirements you will be able to:
- Describe the main principles for a successful implementation of the Design Thinking process.
- Apply the five steps of Design Thinking to a challenge in your teaching.
- Select and appropriately use the appropriate tools at each stage of the Design Thinking process when implementing the Design Thinking process in your teaching.
The course is entirely online and designed so that you have access to a suite of flexible resources and tools that you can modify to suit the needs of your students and lessons taught.
Calendar
The programme runs online from October 2024 to June 2025, you can join anytime during the whole academic year and it is supported by a series of online workshops and resources.
Participants receive
- Online module materials and exercises
- A TU Dublin accredited Digital Badge – Design Thinking Foundations.
