Get Involved
Present your organisation's real business or civic challenges to motivated learner teams who will collaborate in the development of solutions under faculty guidance. These challenge-based structured projects can range from semester-long initiatives to intensive two-day or week-long sprints, addressing specific issues in areas like AI transformation, sustainability, equality diversity & inclusion, market validation, business case development, engineering, and product innovation. Collaborators can benefit from creative approaches to problem-solving, access to an emerging talent pipeline and increased brand recognition, while learners gain valuable industry experience working on real problems faced by business and organisations.
Share your industry expertise and insights with our learners through guest lectures, workshops, or speaking engagements. These opportunities allow you to influence future graduates while promoting your organisation's or personal profile. Whether it's a one-off masterclass, guest lecture, a series of specialised workshops, community of practice events, or participation in panel discussions and conferences, your professional perspective enriches teaching and learning, helping to bridge the gap between academic theory and industry practice at TU Dublin. Opportunities range from 1-2 hour sessions to full-day engagements across all disciplines.
Help shape the future of higher education by participating in advisory boards that guide academic development and strategic direction. Board members provide valuable insights that ensure our programmes remain relevant, forward-thinking, and aligned with current and future skills needs. You or your organisation’s involvement might include programme design collaboration, identifying new training needs and emerging skills gaps, or supporting accreditation processes. This collaborative approach ensures our graduates can respond to the needs of employers and enterprise.
Provide internship experience to our learners while identifying future talent for your organisation. Our work placement programmes range from 3-12 months across various disciplines and can be tailored to meet your specific business needs. Students bring fresh perspectives and new thinking to the workplace while developing professional skills under your guidance. We support placement sponsors throughout the process with guidelines, check-ins, and structured assessment that ensures both student learning and placement sponsors benefit.
Contribute to educational quality assurance as an Industry External Examiner, bringing your professional standards and industry perspective to assessment and quality assurance process at TU Dublin. External examiners review assessment materials, moderate marking, and provide independent validation of academic standards across various programmes. This role typically involves reviewing student work at key assessment periods, attending exam boards, and providing reports that contribute to continuous programme improvement.
