It is an aim of Oifig na Gaeilge to provide support to the students of Technological University Dublin by ensuring that they are provided with opportunities to use the Irish language socially and creatively whilst they study at third level. This is achieved by various means.

IrisZine is the first ever TU Dublin bilingual magazine. Our goal is to create interesting, relevant and inclusive content as Gaeilge for students. We are dedicated to inspiring students to use whatever cúpla focal they have. We here in TU Dublin are continuously making efforts to lower our environmental impact and so we made the decision to share our magazine with you all ar líne.

The IrisZine editorial team consists of creative writers, who are current students and alumni, from different years, courses and locations, who share one thing in common – grá don teanga! If you’d like to get in touch with us or write for IrisZine, please email us at gaeilge@tudublin.ie.

We love how creative our students are in TU Dublin and we are launching a new initiative – TÚ@TUDublin. This project seeks students to join a Gaeilge crew or foireann that will produce lots of exciting ideas and content to promote the Irish language digitally this year as we are now online for the foreseeable future! Students can work alone or together in a group on a project or different projects and submissions can be made here: TÚ@TU Dublin Form

We welcome more than one submission from a student or group of students and we recommend that you give as much detail as possible when applying. We are seeking ideas and content on how to make Gaeilge more visible in your own university experience in TU Dublin – and for other students also.

Successful candidates will be part of the TÚ@TU team where they will work on their own project, or perhaps they might be interested in working on another project idea too – this initiative will be very flexible to allow for a varied amount of work hour commitments that individual students can make (minimum of 5 hours to maximum of 30 hours per student which can be spread across different projects). Students will be paid for all hours of work completed and we would love to see submissions from all TU Dublin students, from those who are líofa to those who have the grá but don’t feel confident using it!

We look forward to reading all of your ideas!
