Oifig na Gaeilge are offering scholarships to current TU Dublin staff and students who would like to enrol on an Irish language course this summer.
Oideas Gael, which is located in the Gaeltacht in Donegal, are offering one-week courses. Various courses are also available from other providers.
Current TU Dublin staff who would like to participate in an Irish language course at any level may apply for a scholarship. The scholarship will cover 80% of the full cost of the course, capped at €200 per person towards course fees.
Applications for 2024 are now open and can be made here. The deadline for applications is Friday, 17 May 2024.
You will receive confirmation within one week. Successful recipients must then register and pay the provider themselves for the course and request a Certificate of Attendance and Receipt once completed. Once Oifig na Gaeilge receives these documents you will then be reimbursed through CORE Expenses. The time spent on these Irish language/ Gaeltacht courses is recognised by Human Resources as training but you must receive prior permission from your line manager to attend any course.
