TU Dublin Feature in Second Season of My Uni Life on RTE One /RTE Player

Published: 6 Feb, 2024

TU Dublin students will feature across five episodes of the second season of My Uni Life, which will debut on Friday, 16 February, at 8pm on RTE One and the RTE Player. The show was developed in partnership with the Irish Universities Association (IUA), RTÉ and production company New Decade.

Filmed over the 2022/2023 academic year, this nine-part series provides a unique and authentic insight into campus life and the experiences of students and staff in TU Dublin and across the country as they navigate the challenges and opportunities of a typical university year.

When TU Dublin closed its gates in March 2020, student life was placed firmly on hold. Thankfully, our locations in Grangegorman, Tallaght, Bolton Street, Blanchardstown, and Aungier Street are teeming with life once more, and the people who study and work there have never been more energised to enjoy and embrace everything that the university experience has to offer – from the sports and societies to the colourful events and the truly transformative community engagements.

TU Dublin will feature in five of the nine episodes. In the second episode, viewers meet a group of interior design students while working with the Robert Emmet Community Development Project, South Inner City Dublin Community Development Association, and Dublin City Council to redevelop a valuable community space. In the third episode, we meet TU Dublin Dance Society students who use their downtime to pursue their passion for dance. In episode seven, we follow talented Fine Art graduates Oisín Tozer and Shannon McGovern as they prepare for their long-awaited final exhibition.
