ClimateLaunchpad is the Green Business Ideas Competition that seeks to fix climate change, one start-up at a time. By accelerating innovation, we enable a low-carbon future. That kind of change needs the world’s best green ideas. This competition creates a platform for those ideas. We offer training, coaching, access to a global network, and prizes.

Aim of the competition

  1. To unlock more green business ideas around the world;
  2. To create a global wide green business network, engaging with a larger group of (potential) green business start-ups; 

Who can enter the ClimateLaunchpad Competition?

Anyone with a green business idea can enter the competition.

 We welcome early stage cleantech ideas for innovations in:

Ideas may still be on the back of a napkin and if you are not sure if your idea fits the bill contact us at ireland@climatelaunchpad.org.

We welcome ideas from individuals and teams.

Prizes

With the support of our sponsors, prizes to the winner of the National Final include in-kind consultancy support from PwC Ireland and access to a hot desk incubation space at the Guinness Enterprise Centre, home to the recently launched GEC Sustainability Cluster.  Additional prizes will be announced in due course.

How to enter?

This is the easy bit.

Submit your idea through the application form on www.climatelaunchpad.org. Remember you don’t need to have a fully developed green business idea – participation in ClimateLaunchpad will help you develop your idea.

What happens after submitting an idea?

 

  • After you submit your entry you will be invited to follow a self-paced online mini-course that will kick start your business idea development.

  • This Mini-course will be used as part of the selection procedure for the national competition.

  • The national jury will select 25 teams in Ireland to participate in the next stage - Online Boot Camp.

  • Based on mini-course submissions, 25 teams will be invited to participate in an online three-day bootcamp focused on the development and refinement of your green business idea with an international trainer from ClimateLaunchpad.

  • The Boot Camp is followed by access to Coaching support to help you perfect your pitch, value your proposition, and develop your business model.

  • After that, you’ll be ready for the National Final where you get to pitch in front of the National Jury with the top 3 ideas going forward to represent Ireland in the international finals.

  • At the Regional Final you pitch in front of the brightest minds of the region.
